Sorry, it's just a reddit thread, but I thought it was charming as hell.

I was watching that thread for hours. I love how other balancers, some of whom she apparently knew, drop by and balance some stuff as well.

I know this trick. The pictures are turned upside down.

Don't be mad guys, but I thought some of those comments were really funny.

Whenever there is a Reddit post on Metafilter, and I get immersed in it, I am always surprised when my back button takes me to mefi. I get sort of disoriented for a minute.

If you post a Reddit link which is a link to a link, I think you should be permabanned.

a few things i have recently dropped onto my face in a tragic and failed attempt to recreate the awesome:

- stapler
- paper clip holder thing
- post-it dispenser
- box of tissues
- teacup

sigh.

elizardbits, if you want to learn how to balance things on your face, start with long things like brooms. They are much easier (because they take longer to fall off).

What's craziest about this is that she has all of this stuff on hand.

No, the trick is to use the stapler to attach those things to your face, that way you only have to work on your pain tolerance and not your sense of balance.

A true tale - we used to balance things on our faces all time for fun. Baseball bats were pretty easy, chairs not so much.

We lived in the middle of nowhere. It makes you a little strange.

I'm bored, what should I balance on my face?

The hopes and dreams of ten thousand awkward guys browing reddit to find pictures of attractive women and picture a future involving a fixed-rate mortgage and "date nights" once a month?

never ask this question at my workplace; the answer will be crude and obvious

Alright, if no one else is going to say it:

These are photographs, y'all. She only has to 'balance' the stuff on her face for 1/4 second, tops.
