Injecting Oscillators Into The CPU of A Gameboy [YouTube] “YouTuber LOOK MUM NO COMPUTER - who does loads of really interesting and experimental things with old tech - decided to put some of faulty Game Boy consoles through the grinder to see what he could come up with. My Game Boy still works. I mean it also eats batteries like a hungry dog, but it technically still works. Metroid II is still my favourite game from that system.

I've considered tearing it down in an attempt to turn it into a portable emulator but I'm also not very tech savy, so it's probably better to just leave it as a memorial to the early days of my gaming life. A brick that just sits on a shelf in my bedroom. I'll leave the hacks to people more knowledgeable than myself.

Fizz, this clever guy turned his GBA into a Pi powered emulator (imgur).

Also, issue 55 of MagPi magazine has instructions on how to make a gameboy out of a Pi.

Once it actually got going it was pretty interesting but holy shit that guy and the video is like a showcase of everything annoying in Youtube videos these days.
