0xc0000034 error on starting laptop

Looking for advice for a friend about their laptop. On switching it on, it gives error 0xc0000034 Your PC needs to be repaired. They do not have the installation media to reinstall Windows. On Googling, we found the suggestion to create a bootable USB using Easy Recovery Essentials. Is this the best way to go? Any other suggestions welcome.

I don't like it when the flavouring on chips falls to the bottom of the bag. I like the crunchy bits at the bottom, but not when they're too salty. So that's something which has been annoying me right now, how about you?

Incidentally, I came into this hoping that it was some kind of wild mystery meat post. Finding it as a mislabeled ask, however, is not disappointing.

You take the laptop and tap it three times on it's edge.
Then, give it a good shake. Careful: make sure the thing is off or else the data can fall off the hard-drive.
Let it rest in the sun of five minutes, then start it up again.
While waiting, drink some tea.
Might just work.

I am currently annoyed by having to use some dreadful thing called aspera fucking faspex to submit all my work for the last year when it isn't half as fast or stable as bloody filezillia. It's probably paused itself again now...
