Grim Tidings for the Bleakest Season

Lustmord has released a newly mastered redux of "The Silent Night" for all your dark ambient holiday needs.

Other spooky holiday tones: the mournful cabaret chanteuse Jill Tracy has a number of somber Christmas arrangements on her album "Silver Smoke, Star of Night"

For a classic metal take, Rob Halford (of Judas Priest) has got a full solo album of Yule rockers.

Or maybe you like your carols a bit more on the brutal side?

Hey, let's bring it back up with the Cocteau Twins classic, "Frosty the Snowman"

I legit could't tell if the Cocteau Twins video was a parody. It is a real thing. I would have adored it either way.

Frosty the Snowman is the gothiest holiday song, it's about dying from too much sun exposure.

I know this 'song' from A Mutated Christmas, the Corporal Blossom CD which was my answer to October's Challenging Christmas Music question.
