What is Code? said jesting ftrain
Paul Ford (yes, yes, MeFi's Own) has created a juggernaut of an article / lived experience / beautiful time-sink about coding. At this point I'll shut up so you can pack a lunch and go immerse yourself now.
Vivaldi's Four Seasons - as you have never heard them before
Nigel Kennedy, best known for this performance of the Four Seasons by Vivaldi at the Proms in 1989, decided to give the popular classical piece a make over. He invited the Palestine Youth Orchestra to ". . . bring(s) fresh insights to these visionary concertos, including the addition of his own improvised links between them." Youtube Link
You've been waiting forever / but you can make ever wait for you.
The cryptic album Hawaii: Part II has finally been released after a months-long mystery, and it sounds like a mix between Katamari Damacy and early 20th century pop. Includes chiptune rapping, time travel, and the Erlking of German folklore. A bonus track, Variations on a Cloud, is also worth a listen.
It Was A Great Year (Movies With Robots)
Easy, nostalgic, cinematic electronica. The challenging part was getting the robots to sing - not too mechanically, but not too uncannily either.
Shenandoah
That song you remember from grade school.
I Do It For Your Love
A Paul Simon cover from the same session as Bob-omb Battlefield. Instrumental, two acoustic guitars.
Playing Games
My first chiptune.

Linksys WRT54G questions
A couple questions about my new Linksys WRT54G...
Help me beat my fingers into submission
Help me become an entertainer! Help me beat my fingers into submission without boring my friends and neighbors with the same two songs over and over again. Help me -- I am looking for songs I can play on the guitar using only the following chords: A, Am, C, D, E, Em, and G.
Dracula Man X2 Alpha Turbo
Awesome stuff, guys. I'll represent retro/chip music:
I'm involved in the niche hobby of writing new music with old videogame hardware. The music you are hearing was programmed in notepad using a TurboGrafx 16 (PC Engine). It's meant to combine Capcom and Konami videogame soundtracks of the late 80s, hence the weird title.
I perform this music live in NYC, with guitars and lasers. I got awesome advice on Ask MeFi about how to get my equipment to shows, and as thanks I'll share my stuff with whoever might enjoy it. More of it is at my site, and my friends who also do this share it also.
Happiness
This is off of my album "Long Story," recorded in summer 1999. It's instrumental acoustic guitar, with some Spanish guitar touches. If you like it, let me know, and I can post other parts of the album.
It starts and finishes a bit abruptly because, on the album, each song musically runs into the next.
Stay Away
A short, pretty, desperate conversation about need and rejection. Plus arpeggios!
What does it mean to "be yourself?"
How do you "be yourself?"
