Dude-a-day: 365 Days of Dudes - October 2008 through October 2009.
As an accompaniment, may I offer the oriental rug of the day? 'Cause, you know, it ties the whole room together.

I see the heady, exciting days of the early Internet are officially over. Dude.

If any of these were the real Dude, there'd be no need for the other 364, because as you know,

Who's the artist? The other things linked from the blogspot post make it confusing - is this one artist, or a group? The style reminds me of Jim Mahfood - at least some of his more basic things.

The title of this website led me to believe it would be a lot smuttier than it actually is.

filthy light thief, I know this dude's (Andy) work from Buttlord GT. Pages are attributed to Andy and another fellow, Nathan. So the artist for the dude-a-day is Andy, but he appears to do collaborative work with some other dudes? I could be wrong.
Oh man, flashbacks to King Pie. I also gotta check if he's continued work on Oh My Fantasy Epic.

I hate sites like these...sites that show an artist's raw talent and ease at which they do their work or hobby...and here I sit, barely able to sketch a smiley face.

Chill, dude. Just riffin' on the whole "of the day" thing (dude-a-day, oriental-rug-a-day, saint-a-day...).

This is pretty need, but I think I'd be more excited by a chick a day. Or whatever word you want to use as the female equivalent to "dude."
Lemme know if he decides to do that.

I think this is pretty expressive of my ideation of metafilter as what one might call an amuse bouche of the web: I like the idea of presenting single-serving websites, small artist blogs -- individual posts that showcase a single thing.

My Birthday dude appears to be a robot with nipples, holding a slurpee.
Awesome!

Highly Highly enjoyable.
I particularly like Jan 28th.
It just ends that little series rather amusingly.

I was expecting photos of hot and sweaty firemen. Or something. Still trying to figure out if I'm relieved or disappointed.

This is nifty. The X-Files and Indiana Jones ones were my faves.
I hate Blogger's way of making you pick through the archives though. It's like they never anticipated the need to absorb anything but the newest stuff when you discover a little gem of a blog.
