flying pig.. paper automatons you can make yourself.
But you have to BUY them. Boo. I went, I fell in love, I considered even taking the time to make one or two of them... until I saw that you had to buy them and that the price was in pounds sterling & all the related and associated hassles. Bummer.

I've purchased a few cards from Cabaret Mechanical Theatre
that were excellent and fun to make. I'm very interested in automata and kinetic sculpture, and this is a good introduction. Thanks!

crunchland---Oh, darn, now I'm gonna hafta update my antique programs again. I want that squid!
jonson---If you don't mind that it doesn't move, you can find a huge number of papercraft patterns, from endangered species to Yamaha motorcycles, all free, here.
I've been passing this site on to the kids in the family for rainy day fun for ages now. (My personal favorite is the white tiger.)
Thanks again, crunchland! Now I have something new to pass on for the next rainy day!

monju bosatsu: I bin sick and I missed your post. Thanks for calling my attention to it because you've given me a whole slew of other papercraft sites that will give me and my very young friends much fun in the playing.
I'm a bit weirded out here, tho, because the last time I checked into the Yamaha site, they were calling their animal papercraft patterns "endangered species"...and now they're just "rare animals"? Looks like they're still endangered to me, so I wonder who got to the folks who do that webpage.
