A fun game but for something that looks like it was made for the Atari 5200 it runs pretty damn choppy on my machine.

Selfnoise, turn off the scanlines, it'll help.

I've been playing this on and off for a while now, it's really a great game.

I did, unfortunately it didn't help that much. It wouldn't be so bad except I watched the Youtube video where it is butter smooth.

also confused by the slowness but I had slightly more success bringing it to fullscreen after removing scanlines.

This is unplayably slow on my laptop, even with scanlines turned off and fullscreen. Total bummer, this look right up my alley.
