and LOTR fans, and Dr. Who Fans, and Star Trek fans. Neat!

Yes, I noticed those later. But there's a preponderance of Star Wars. :)

I was surprised how easy it was to decipher Spock and Frodo. The ones on the bottom are tribbles, I guess?

I read them as Ewoks.

And I couldn't decipher Frodo. Had to come here for the tip.

... Daleks really aren't taller than Leia are they?

Maybe a little ambitious hoping his daughter will grow as tall as Darth Vader....This is great though.

I misunderstood, and thought it was going to chart the stages of Star Wars fandom. Which are, approximately:

1. Hey, this is pretty cool!
2. Man, this is the BEST THING EVER!
3. Wait- Greedo-?!? That's not the way I remember that happening.
4. Wow, Phantom Menace isn't really very god.
5. THESE PREQUELS ARE THE WORST THING EVER. FUCK GEORGE LUCAS IN THE EAR.
6. It's about time I finally watched the Holiday Spe-JESUS CHRIST.
7. It's been a few years, maybe I'll watch Empire. Hey, this is pretty cool!

Because of the colour, I thought Spock was Dr Manhatten.

I thought I heard somewhere that the Daleks' height varied so that they would always more or less appear at eye level to the companions. Rose's Daleks were shorter than Amy's Daleks, etc.

Carrie Fisher is only about 5'1".

The height of the Daleks was reportedly adjusted to accommodate Matt Smith, who is 5'10", 3 inches shorter than David Tennant, but at any rate they do seem to be generally taller than 5'1".

Oh good. I was afraid there wasn't anything left that hadn't been mashed up with Star Wars.

Okay, I have to print this and put it in my kids' room.

Star Wars growth chart for adults:

Age 7: Star Wars is the best thing ever!
Age 13: Star Wars figures are hidden under bed when friends or *gasp* girls come over.
Age 18: Star Wars figures are decorating your dorm room and twice annual viewings are typical.
Age 24: Star Wars DVDs and toys have gotten lost.
Age 24-27: Occasional Star Wars watching on TBS, but only Empire and New Hope, and only the cool parts. Commercials are too long to watch the whole thing anyway.
Age 28: Repurchase toys and all the Star Wars DVDs for your kids.
Age 35: Sudden nostalgia for Star Wars kicks in for 12-36months, full nerd mode on: buying books, commenting on force.net, conventions, arguing with children, etc.
Age 50: Repurchase toys and Star Wars blurays for your grandkids.
Age 65: Catch Star Wars at nostalgia midnight show with grandkids.
Age 80: Be buried in coffin decorated with Yoda because "Grandpa really loved that old movie."

Is there one for mental growth too? It'd only need to go as far as age fourteen.

It depends on the version. For the new series, they were first sized to Billie Piper (5' 5"), so she could look them in the eye.

Because of the colour, I thought Spock was Dr Manhatten.

I don't think silhouetted ears would be the most recognizable part of Dr. Manhattan.

That stuff would be useful if I eventually learnt how to print such a thing on several A4 sheets of paper and thus improve my printing knowledge or skills or whatever.
