For the first time, federal authorities used wiretaps to listen in on stock traders swapping illegal tips.
Huh, that's kind of amazing that it had never happened before. I also heard they used the same type of sophisticated algorithms that banks use to do statistical arbitrage/black box trading to detect trading anomalies
