Unable to prevent revellers urinating against their trees, Roskilde Festival in Denmark installed tree-mounted urinals by Dutch designers Aandeboom. Video here. (via).
So, if the guys have a tree, does that mean the women have a bush?

Just to help you keep it straight: The Danes have tree-mounted urinals and the Dutch have flies in their urinals.

So.. where do the tubes go? Phosphate is used in fertilizer, but uric acid is a Roundup substitute.
The Dutch have these.

I'm told by someone familiar with it that Roskilde smells like one giant outhouse by the end of the festival.

Any open air summer festival smells like one giant outhouse well before the end of the festival.

They could use some of these in the Olympic National Park. Might keep people from being gored to death by mountain goats.

It must be pointed out that, in Dutch, "aan de boom" means "on the tree"...
Judging from the link, it appears that name is more because their particular design niche is "Things That Can Be Temporarily Attached To Trees". They've also done benches and birdhouses, for instance.

They could do this at the next Juggalo gathering, with someone at the end of the connected drain hoses with a sign reading "FREE BEER BONG!"

Oh, those Danish throwbacks. Aren't they enlightened enough to know that jail is the answer?

Um, what is it?
Pee on that and it runs back down onto your feet. :-)
Being Dutch, this is a great example of good utilitarian design... but the Glastonbury method is MUCH more fun.

I've read in organic gardening websites that urinating on the soil helps replenish it with nitrogen compunds. All that pissing is probably GOOD for the flora.

stbalbach: People excrete most of their nitrogen as urea, not uric acid. Uric acid is for the birds.
