At first I was thinking "any bird can be tough with an axe in its beak" but then when it climbed up on the dinosaur and started biting its head it was clear this was one badass bird. posted by tommasz at 10:54 AM on August 29, 2011 [6 favorites]
Will no one decry the dinosaur on dinosaur violence? They must join forces against the MAMMALS! posted by GenjiandProust at 11:00 AM on August 29, 2011 [1 favorite]
I know all the stuff it attacks is smaller than it (except for the brontosaurus, I suppose), but I still would not want to fuck with this bird. posted by Gilbert at 11:02 AM on August 29, 2011
Kind of gives you a good idea of what it would be like to fight a VelociraptorDeinonychus; i.e. terrifying, brutal and short. And that's without the battle axe. posted by 2bucksplus at 11:06 AM on August 29, 2011
My cat would not only ignore the dinosaurs, he would flee from the bird. BIRD WIN! posted by Joey Michaels at 11:29 AM on August 29, 2011
I guess birds do use tools. Like idiots.
That ax is upside down, shithead.

And so Bunny Ultramod learns that an axe has both a choppy side and a smashy side. posted by tommasz at 11:56 AM on August 29, 2011 [3 favorites]
Excuse me, but that is clearly a brachiosaurus. A Love Bird fighting a brontosaurus, would be ridiculous, as the brontosaurus is a classification mistake these days!
Would it be so wrong just to call it a brontosaurus, kind of like a nickname? "Brachiosaurus" gives me none of the feelgoods that I get from "brontosaurus." Firefox's spell-check doesn't even recognize "brachiosaurus." Can we get behind this? It'll be a favor for everyone who grew up on the Flintstones. posted by jwhite1979 at 12:03 PM on August 29, 2011
I love the "I did that right, didn't I? " look the brid gives after stepping on the shark driver. Classic. posted by djrock3k at 12:04 PM on August 29, 2011 [1 favorite]
If my mother's cockatiel ever had access to an axe, I would have been in deep shit. That little shitheel hates me. posted by everichon at 12:08 PM on August 29, 2011

I am reminded of Hatebeak, the Death Metal / Grindcore / Thrash band whose lead singer is an African Gray Parrot
