A commercial. But a commercial featuring two of MetaFilter's favorite things: knitting and stop motion animation. Also, there's a cat. The making of.
I am only sad about living in southern California for the reason that I am never cold enough to need all the knit I produce.

I am tickled to see that I am not the only one who likes to follow the "indicate if there is a cat" posting request.
Also I truly do miss having a gas range to cook on. It's the very softest.

Very cool animation, but what is the point of the ad? Surely everyone knows that the insulation goes on the outside of the house, don't they?

This ad is so soothing and beautiful, though it does give me a bit of a pang, knowing that all this was knit up and then unravelled to make the film.

AV, this is what keeps me going through my horribly cold winters: the fact that I and my loved ones will definitely be using all the hats, mitts, scarves, and sweaters I enjoy knitting up, because otherwise we will freeze into sad little ice statues.

I used to like the idea of natural gas, until the companies that move it around decided they wanted to tear through swaths of national forest. Further, they seem heck-bent on exporting our way into a shortage of that resource too.
