This kid is lucky- he never has to be worried about being embarrassed, many years down the line, when he parents bring out his baby-book to show the new girlfriend. They're almost helping the cause. posted by FirstMateKate at 5:04 AM on November 9, 2011 [2 favorites]
Technically, this is "scenes from classic movies recreated by means of Arthur," as I doubt Arthur himself has sufficiently grasped the subtleties of mise-en-scèn to effectively stage his own events, but that is rank nitpickery.
The Seventh Seal, The Blair Witch Project, and Rear Window are genius.
I'm skeptical of these kinds of things, but I thought this was great! posted by OmieWise at 5:40 AM on November 9, 2011

Oh really?
Yes, really, kid may have a future, but no way his eyes can handle that depth of focus at his age. And the arrangement of the headband is too artful. So there. posted by GenjiandProust at 5:44 AM on November 9, 2011

Judging by the computer screen, babby is using Outlook to do some work from home, so that's totally different. Btw, babby looks completely overworked. posted by Foci for Analysis at 6:06 AM on November 9, 2011 [1 favorite]

American Beauty is deeply creepy.
The real scene was deeply creepy too. Not least because you (just me?) empathize with the protagonist's lust for a teenager. In that sense, Arthur's reenactment is disarming. (Except for the way he's looking at me.) posted by Popular Ethics at 7:58 AM on November 9, 2011 [3 favorites]

These would be better done with kittens. Everyone likes kittens, but babies are generally only really cute when they're your own. posted by The otter lady at 8:44 AM on November 9, 2011
