That she has since become a sex symbol both within and outside of Russia, well, I'm still not sure whether it is hilarious, pathetic, or both (or neither). Regardless, it strikes me as quite bizarre.

That's a deeply sad article, in every respect. Contemporary Russia depresses me. The deserve better than this.
