If you like a window into small worlds you don't usually see, my father's garden is another clip along this line that I love. posted by madamjujujive at 5:46 PM on January 11
Really nice! I love that the fruit bats are added in - most of the time their role in pollination is ignored for the pretty birds & butterflies (disclaimer: I love bats). posted by Salmonberry at 6:36 PM on January 11 [1 favorite]
Great cinematography, but that fake upscaling compression is a crime against how elegant the shots are. Wish it were in true 720p, at the least. posted by SomaSoda at 8:05 PM on January 11 [1 favorite]
Yeah, yeah. Hummingbirds and bats think they're all that.
I don't think the hummingbirds were playing. They are rather fierce and territorial amongst their own kind.
The video was beautiful. But that is to be expected, given the combo of sex organs and the Smithsonian. posted by Goofyy at 12:27 AM on January 12

This is some serious hardcore bug/flower porn here. Does anyone else feel a little awkward watching plants have sex for months at at time? Every time I sneeze in the spring I cant help but visualize the plant sperm shooting out my nose. posted by KeSetAffinityThread at 11:50 AM on January 14
