Dammit, I need to stop saying "Well now I've seen everything" because every time I do, someone from Tumblr invariably shows up and proves me wrong. posted by Spatch at 10:25 PM on April 7, 2012 [3 favorites]
Yeah, let's not tempt the universe with that phrase. I don't think we would survive a mutation of this Tumblr that incoporates tentacles in the ways you would expect them to be incorporated. posted by Iosephus at 10:30 PM on April 7, 2012
Once again, tumblr proves that just because something CAN be done, it doesn't mean it SHOULD be done. posted by oneswellfoop at 10:37 PM on April 7, 2012 [3 favorites]
hey, how about you all stop talking trash about John Goodman's Face on Anime Girl's Bodies. Some people just look that way, you know? Or, more likely, some people think it looks good, yeah? Or, much more likely, don't feed the trolls, yo! posted by rebent at 10:47 PM on April 7, 2012
I have zero ability to discern, either in photos or real life, which guys are total babes and which guys are "just OK" looking (obviously, to the world-at-large). It's weird.
One consequence is I find photos of "interesting-looking" people like John Goodman much more compelling than, say, the photo of that marathon running guy who has tumblr in heat at the moment.
Also happy someone brought this up. posted by Meatafoecure at 10:51 PM on April 7, 2012
I imagine John Goodman, while not conventionally attractive, would be an intelligent and generous lover. posted by PinkMoose at 10:57 PM on April 7, 2012 [16 favorites]
Also, someone (a lot of people) should send him this on Twitter, if he has a Twitter. If he doesn't then send it to Dan Harmon. posted by codacorolla at 11:03 PM on April 7, 2012

Ok, I was expecting to find this dumb and stupid. But, whoever put this together did such a great job of selecting pics of him with just exactly the right facial expressions that these mashups really work for me. posted by marsha56 at 4:22 AM on April 8, 2012

Just so you know, we would have accepted "dumb and stupid" just as well. posted by ShutterBun at 6:13 AM on April 8, 2012

God help me, Tumblr is the technology I just. Don't. Get.
I really thought I'd reach this point when my daughter asked me for her first brain implant. Or a flux capacitor. Instead, I'm 38, and I've already reached the end of my tech rope. This saddens and pains me. posted by RakDaddy at 8:03 AM on April 8, 2012

I have had a theory for a long time: John Goodman makes everything better. The Roseanne show: wouln't have been as good without him. Raising Arizona? Very funny, but often largely because of him. King Ralph? That movie should have been awful but because it was John Goodman it was actually pretty funny. John Goodman makes everything better.
