The sample GIF for #4 is standard output from a regular T1-weighted MRI scan. Our computers have the software for making these installed by default. Yeah, I'm a little bugged by the tiger gif actually. I think it'd be much better even if they'd just increased the frame delay like this.

My understanding ( may be flawed ) is that the debate livegiffing nonsense was largely pushed by Tumblr as a sort of meme-marketing stunt/ wishful thinking initiative. I suspect most of these debate live gifs of facial reactions were put together by Tumblr employees, under orders from panicked managers realizing debate livegiffing is kind of pointless posted by Bwithh at 6:23 PM on November 18, 2012
