Why no montage of Slab Bulkhead names?? Oh, there it is!
Has yet to get tired of making fun of terrible movies.
Has yet to get tired of watching The Room.
Has plans to see it again on Friday at the local theatre.
Has ticket stubs from the "live riff" show of it.
Has a problem, maybe…
Anyone want to watch MST3k episodes in Vancouver? I have a projector and over 200 episodes…

You can only get to over 200 if you go back to the KTMA era.
(I have them all too. Same deal applies from me BTW, but nix the projector and change the location to Brunswick, GA.) posted by JHarris at 8:11 PM on November 26, 2012

Yep, I have them. Are any of them actually worth watching, in your opinion? posted by WaylandSmith at 8:22 PM on November 26, 2012
Oh, kittensofthenight, I think I know what to propose to my NYE guests between board game sets & cocktails. This will be my righteous revenge upon my friend who made us all watch The Human Centipede. You won the Internet tonight.

I've got them (that are in fan hands at least; no fan has a copy of either of the first two or three) but haven't watched them all. If you're an MST fanatic then any of them, certainly, but they should be watched with the caveat that they were really new at it. Also, you have to go into it more with the UHF movie host tradition in mind.
If they're movies that they would revisit on cable (many Sandy Frank movies especially), that gives you a little more incentive to watch them. posted by JHarris at 8:42 PM on November 26, 2012

But to the topic du jour: I am almost tempted to watch Twilight now too.

During the winter holidays most families get together and watch the classics, like Miracle on 34th Street or It's a Wonderful Life. But my family, when we get together for Christmas we always watch...Jack Frost. posted by Doleful Creature at 10:18 PM on November 26, 2012 [1 favorite]

Not that there's anything wrong with Jack Frost, but you are aware that MST3K did two Christmas movies, both of them among the best episodes generally? They are 321: Santa Claus Conquers The Martians (Joel) and 521: Santa Claus (Mike). Notably, Cinematic Titanic did SCCTM again, with all new riffs.
SCCTM is a legendary bad movie. Santa Claus is a Mexican import brought over by K. Gordon Murray. Both are bizarre and silly enough to be watchable even by people who haven't completely invested in the show yet. I think SCCTM has the stronger host segments, including classics like "A Patrick Swayze Christmas." posted by JHarris at 7:43 AM on November 27, 2012
Aaah good catch lkc. That's a particular favorite of mine in fact, probably the worst movie of all these (and if it can beat out Santa Claus Conquers The Martians it must be pretty bad). posted by JHarris at 11:42 PM on November 27, 2012

That is precisely the conditions under which I watched the second Twilight movie and IT IS SO WORTH IT.
Although you should gather a crowd with you and have pizza and beer. That also was involved when I saw it. posted by EmpressCallipygos at 11:02 AM on November 28, 2012
