Panic Disorder With Agoraphobia is an anxiety disorder in which a person has attacks of intense fear and anxiety. There is also a fear of being in places where it is hard to escape, or where help might not be available. The are some known causes, symptoms and treatments available.

I also have an insatiable need to travel. Taken together that means that I've thrown up in more world capitals than anyone I know.
Got it sorted out with a mix of CBT and anti-depressants about 13 years ago though. I haven't spent one night curled up in one corner of one bathroom since then.
