Thesetwo are my favourites as they don't put the baguette front and centre but instead let it speak for itself. posted by arcticseal at 5:34 PM on January 28

Oh for croissant. Call me old and crusty, but this kind of loafing around is just crummy.
I'm relieved that there was only one baguette penis (though I have to wonder how many were submitted and rejected). And the absence of a "baguette lady" is also welcome. The creator of this tumblr certainly hasn't been loafing. posted by oneswellfoop at 7:01 PM on January 28 [1 favorite]

Sorry if I didn't see it posted in the tumblr somewhere, but where did this thing come from? A girl and her friends are just like let's do this wacky thing, or is it one person doing a wacky thing that catches on. posted by angrycat at 7:46 PM on January 28
Fun idea, but I'm afraid I find the execution a bit slight. That tumblr is really just a bagatelle. posted by strangely stunted trees at 8:11 PM on January 28

This one's not likely to boule you over... but would you say you'd like to start a campagne for more? Do we really knead them? I will rise to the occasion. (Seriously, I'd love to do this professionally. I could use the dough.) posted by knile at 3:20 AM on January 29 [1 favorite]
I found many of these surprisingly witty, and now I'm scoping out everything as potential ways to frame a nice fresh baguette. Which I can then immediately consume with much butter. posted by kinnakeet at 5:16 AM on January 29

I don't see what objection you could have to such floury language. posted by Rustic Etruscan at 6:26 AM on January 29 [1 favorite]
