I enjoyed that his writing did not seem arrogant or that he was not full of himself, which could easily be the case considering where he is and the types of people he is interviewing/meeting. He is a writer in a place that is full of history. And he wants to share his experience. I hope that this series continues.

What I liked most was contemplating that another person, with their own set of experiences, could have done exactly the same things and written a very different essay. That doesn't mean I didn't like this essay; it felt like I was getting a sense of how Cole views the world.
