What's old is new again. This sounds suspiciously like "core", which is what computers used when I was in college.

What's next, nano-scale punch cards? Actually, that kind of makes sense, given the "rod logic" concept for nanocomputers.

I think the key difference here is that you don't have to carry around a cabinet the size and weight of a toilet in order to have an "instant on" PDA.
