Lady Gaga satirizes the objectification of celebrity while cashing in on it with a series of creepily lifelike gagadolls. You can even rent one for an event. Several models to choose from.

this isn't her project though, is it? it appears she's involved in some way, since she was at the launch (and she used them for some promo in japan) - but all the quotes i've seen, including on their about page, suggests it's an art project that has her blessing, not her art project.

Oh, you mean that ArtPop promo video that happened to feature a few Muppet skits. Yes, it was a sad affair. It makes more sense if you strike "Muppets" and "Spectacular" from the title.

I think it's awesome. I'd love to see one in person, but I have a suspicion that their policy of only booking inside Japan will remain in place, or only be expanded to small radius. Western audiences aren't known for handling with care. Look at the difference between the pristine Tokyo Disneyland, where so much is left out within the potential reach of guests' hands but has never needed to be replaced, and the American and European parks where the opposite is true.

Gaga and the Muppets really underachieved together, but I got the creeping impression that Gaga and Piggy had had a stand-off with each other rather than doing a really big successful show together... which in a way kind of made it a success, conceptually at least, since Piggy does not actually even exist.

last time she sold it on launch for $1. everyone wants to chicken little things like that but her album sold just under katy perry and miley cyrus's. seems about par for what can be expected (of course, beyonce blew them all out of the water). dropping the price to 3.99 for a week or whatever is pretty common, it just only seems to make headlines when someone like gaga does it.
