So there's a nervous man in a four-dollar room in a ghost-ship, with broken glasses, trying to decide on his last wish, but without speaking... and then I lost track.

PHINC isn't a republic serial villain - he wouldn't be showing us this if he hadn't set these 156 deadly schemes in motion half an hour ago (one hour in the case of season 4).

A game: freeze frame at any point after 2 min and count how many Rod Serlings there are with hands clasped, talking calmly into the camera. At 4:15, ten or possibly eleven.

The eleventh is a man too, but whether or not he is Rod Serling, we do not know. Daytime, a deserted street corner. The man wears a suit. He walks forward, but is he walking towards something or away from it? Who else is there, watching along with us, hovering just out of our sight...

The faceless old woman who secretly lives in your home. Dammit, Night Vale. Stop doing that.

I'm actually genuinely surprised at how unsynchronized everything is. I'd've thought they'd have the timing down to a science, so the title comes up at exactly the same time every time. Nope. But I guess TV was still working out its formulas back then.

I was surprised about the lack of syncronisation in the titles, too - I thought it would be a whole bunch of tiles in perfect time. It was interesting how the audio builds in intensity towards the end.

Also, my head hurts.

I don't know what you're suggesting - that the hamster they used to power TV shows with was inconsistent? Clearly the guy either didn't start the clips all at exactly the same time, or the source video he used didn't all start on the same frame.

Which are the three episodes he/she doubled (linearly) in size to fill out the frame? One is obviously the Shatner's famous episode, Nightmare at 20,000 Feet. Is one of the others The Monsters Are Due On Maple Street?

On the far right is To Serve Man, of cookbook fame. I don't recognize the other one.

I spotted Nightmare at 20,000 feet and To Serve Man as the "oversized" episodes.

Keep in mind that we're looking at the efforts of someone who ripped the episodes (possibly from different sources) and pasted them back together, so it's understandable that some clips would have a little more leader than others. Then again, it's actually kinda surprising how in sync most of them are (at least, within each season)

Obviously this setup wouldn't work for full episodes, since the 18 episodes that make up Season 4 are an hour each. (yuck!)

After several minutes, I started to doubt whether the cacophony of sound was truly the real audio output of all the episodes. There were few discernible transient sounds, and it was nigh impossible to associate them with any given clip, so I started to suspect it was just either "overdubbed background noise" or maybe just the sound of 7 or 8 episodes overlaid.

Nope! It's the real deal. At about 7:08, there is the sound of electric buzzing. zzzzzZZZZIP! zzzzzZZZIP! It corresponds to the clip at 10x4 (10th from the left, 4th row down), Mr. Dingle The Strong, when he is being zapped by the martians.

Yep, I like this a lot. Would love to see Zone given the Gigapixel treatment.

So, not to go off topic, but i had a funny thought a while ago along these lines. What if lots of people were actually telepathic, but what we thought was tinnitus was actually telepathy, just that it all blended together to sound like that ringing in your ears. ;)

After watching and listening to the first couple of minutes, I skipped ahead to about the eight-minute mark and listened to the sound of the most uneasy cocktail party.

I was surprised that my first thought was "this is wonderful" because I am stupidly over sensitive to multiple sound sources to the point when I won't have a conversation in a room if the television is on. But seriously, this was wonderful.
