So, a couple months back I was pretty sure the doge meme was just about the stupidest thing in the history of ever (even going so far as to make this to shame my coworker), but now I'm pretty sure that Doge Weather is the most amazing thing that has ever happened, so I'm all confused.

I don't know where it is getting the weather from.

weather.php gets your location from ip-api.com, and feeds it to openweathermap.org. It then generates the page based on the temperature and condition icon.

Just for reference: 62 degrees Fahrenheit and sunny, at the end of January, only rates "so okay". I want "such lucky bastard".

If you look at the source code commit comments on the github repository, many of them are something like "such commit". Some of the variables have names such as "suchtemp" and "very".

Checking this on my phone, where weather doge identifies me as being in Scotsdale, AZ, and it is both "such sweltering" and "very ambient" there. I don't think it takes much to break weather doge.

Also it thinks I'm in Cahokia, Illinois for some reason. That's about 40 minutes west of here, on the wrong side of St. Louis. Most weather sites recognize about a dozen locations between here and there.

The very fluffy dog with the sunglasses claiming that the clear sky is "much lovely" has the advantage of many generations of evolution resulting in a much lovely undercoat and doesn't seem to mind the 11 degree temperatures. I vote we shave him and see how much lovely he thinks it is then.

Yeah, in Northern Ontario (Timmins) where it's -22C/-7 (with a wind chill dropping that to about -40), I get a mix of "so climate change" and "very ice".
