Icons, a promotion for The Sunday Times’ Culture section, is a short video that features a cleverly done shifting series of iconic cultural images done in a single take. [slv(imeo) | via]

Well done, but god how I hated Forrest Gump.

I think there was room there to transition into Patrick Swayze holding Baby aloft in his arms...but otherwise, very neat.

I would like more of these pieces of creative nostalgia. That was well-done.

This is one of those things that, for a few seconds, makes me marvel at the brilliance of some people's ideas and the simplicity of the execution.

Then I return, weeping, to my technical-sales gig and wonder what book I forgot to read…

Really, really well done video.

A shout-out to everyone for whom the Sistine Chapel is their new favorite thing!

The transition from Sistine Chapel to Reservoir Dogs may be TOO obvious... I suspect it was how Tarantino was originally inspired for the scene...

I think you give Tarantino too much credit or too little.
