A moment of nonsense for the easily amused

Since I would watch a whole movie just about Joaquin Phoenix's face, this was relevant to my interests.

Oddly familiar.

OK everyone this is important: Don't watch this as is. Load it up, pause, mute it.

Then: open the Meet The Spy theme music - "Right Behind You" - in another tab. Press play.

Then switch back to Joaquin's forehead, leave it muted, and play.

and the whole movie that is Pheonix's face is The Master, thank you.

I got bored 20 seconds in and started looking at the bar to see how much video was left and something about how my eyes were focused made me see THE FACE

I had to close the tab after that.

On mute it gains a lot of pathos. But then it looked at me.

I did not need to see a lipless feral elf-child wearing football undereye makeup looking at me just before bedtime.

Ugh time to sleep with my head under the covers with the bedroom door booby trapped.

I like. I suspect jazz cigarettes may be involved.

So good. Just watched it, laughing with my son and he said OH MY GOD HE HAS A BEARD

That was table slapping good, but I had to look away. I'll just pretend they got stuck laughing at it on pause until they all eventually dropped dead from asphyxiation.

That was both fascinating and terrifying at the same time. I desperately wanted to look away but couldn't. There has to be a long German word for what I'm feeling right now, right?

Hey, look what's on Best of Youtube!

Joaquin Phoenix's Forehead (Rotated)

I was all "what are people talking about?" and then at 29 seconds EVERYTHING CHANGED. For the better, because look at that content little smile.

This might be one of the funniest things I've ever seen.

Here's a YouTube Doubler version of mhoye's suggestion. (you might need to unmute the second video).

This thing reminds me a lot of Thumb Wars, a thing about which I had not wanted to be reminded.

sparklemotion's doubler of myhoye's suggestion with jjj606's rotation: voilà!

I watched this whole video earlier today (hours ago) and had no idea what was funny about it. I didn't see what was funny about the wrinkles in Joaquin's forehead.
Until just now when I came to check again to see if this had been deleted for being too random and dumb, and saw the "rotated" video.

It makes so much more sense now.
But maybe it says something about my brain that I didn't see the "face" on its own.
And now, of course, I can't unsee.

I literally laughed til I cried watching this. I have shown it to people several times today and each viewing resulted in my helpless, snorting hysterics. I am surprised how many people don't see it at first.
