But is a pug capable of the level of conscious self-awareness necessary for an artist to really be present?

dhens: "So Such glamorous. So Many present. The grandmother of pug doge performance art."

I'd like to suggest "puge" for this purpose.

Now to deconstruct the previous commentary, is "itt" a typo, a post-typo or a subtle attempt at a new meme?

But is an artist capable of the level of non-self-awareness necessary to really be present?

Marina Abramopug turns these eternal questions into performance art.

I think you mean Tilda Kitten. Evidence:

1) sleeps a lot
2) likes boxes

It's one thing to realize that your dog, having very little in the way of an ego and a huge heart, will do whatever you tell them do (because they like you and trust you). It's is entirely something else for you to tell your dog to do every asinine thing that crosses your mind.

I am close friends with the dog and her Personal Assistant. The dog is totally into it.
