Our new kitten (well, adolescent) is louder than all of these kittens put together.

We named him "Rory".

THIS IS THE GOOD VIDEO. Notice use of definite article.

They're so cute at that age, before they start trading with zebras for uranium.

I didn't know I needed that, but... *contented stretch*... clearly I did.
Thanks!

Full of kitteny goodness!
Glad they have found a new home!

Maybe they are moving around so much because they are looking for mother.

The purring thing really is odd when you think about it. Does any other animal have a similar 'idling' sound ?

My friend thinks purring is cats' genetic ability to give themselves music therapy.

I'm having a bad day so far. The rest of my day looks pretty grim, too. This video gave me 2 minutes and 23 seconds of happy when I really, really needed it. Thank you.

Den of kittens you say?

That's what the last guy thought too. Kittens purr when full.

You know how they have those "ambient coffee house sound" recordings for productivity?

I'm not sure that "ambient ongoing bucket of purr" would increase productivity, but I bet it would lower blood-pressure levels.

We recently adopted a four month old kitty (Penelope) and I cannot get over how LOUDLY she purrs. When she's lying next to me in bed, she's like a furry white noise machine that will bite your fingers.

I adopted two kittens last month and when people ask me how I picked these two, I said, "Every time I touched them or picked them up, they began purring loudly." i mean the moment you pet them they are all " PUUUUUURRRRRRRR" They actually stopped and watched this video (they have never watched tv before). I was like "Look, it is the song of your people!"

Before playing the video Youtube gave me an ad where a couple was putting their cat in rollerskates. I think that ads and content may have finally converged into one perfect meow.

So, I don't know if it says something about me, or the state of the internet, or both, or whatever, but I'm a little afraid that clicking on some of this YouTuber's videos would lead directly to tacky porn.

"Foster Kittens' Precarious Playtime"
"Roodi the Kitten Surrenders to Love"
"Feisty 2 Day Old Kittens Fighting, Too Cute!"
"Foster Kittens Go Crazy Over a New Box"
"A Kitten Toy Surprise"
"Cute Kittens Make Their Own Video"

Uh, so it's just me then?

I watched this twice and my son and I still can not figure out how many there are. At least five, maybe as many as seven? I'm afraid to watch it again, lest there be eight.

My dad claims that the volume of a cat's purr remains constant throughout the cat's life. It's just that as they get bigger, there's more cat surrounding the purr, which has an insulating effect.
