This is great. We shape our buildings; thereafter they shape us is often mis-attributed to Winston Churchill, which is stupid, because Churchill wasn't even trying to be an architect. There's way more to it than that.

Great link!

Rats.
The Pedreiro and the Master Planner isn't up yet. I linked to the promo.
If someone finds it first please put a link up.
And seconding all those comments about Architecture of Violence. Incredible documentary. If it wasn't for the abject hostility towards I/P posts from some here I would have made this the link and nothing more.
Here is a Guardian article about Eyal Weizman and his documentary together with a comprehensive interview.

Here's the YouTube upload of part six: Pedreiro and the Master Planner.

I hear you about the particular greatness of "Architecture of Violence" but I'm so glad you posted them all, adamvasco! I'm almost finished watching and will be giving them all at least a second watch. Watching these has given me a boost of spirit. Despite what we hear overwhelmingly from mass media (and what we see in daily life), so many cooperative+positive things are continuously happening in the world to improve the conditions of all creatures on our small planet.

Now I'm gonna go ponder intersectionality in its entirety.

Very interesting, not sure I'll find time to watch them this month, but hey.

Thanks for sharing! These are some of the core concepts that brought me into the field of architecture (though I currently am not in the practice.)
