Bone broth for babies

It should be clear that in the view of many dieticians paleo is not just the Atkins diet in Flintstones drag, or just a fad: it’s regarded by many as an ideology, with its own leading lights, intellectual heritage and political hinterland. Paleo advocates don’t just want us to cut down on processed carbs and grains, they’re dedicated to a selective denial of modernity, which in some cases is accompanied by anti-feminist attitudes. - Paleo isn't a fad diet, it's an ideology that selectively denies the modern world.

Wait. This assclown has been told by actual doctors that his 'bone broth' (fuck off, it's called stock, stop making up new terms for things that already have words) is actively harmful to babies, his publisher has dropped the book, and his answer is "don't silence me, I'm self-publishing"?

Assbag. Utter, total, complete shitbucket.

In my view, the answer to that has little to do with food. The paleolithic is a favoured era because of the way it answers to a desire to justify or reimpose certain social hierarchies, especially those concerning gender.

Because there simply not enough tools for doing that already. Get. Your. Gender. Bullshit. Off. My. Fucking. Sustenance.

We need to promote nutritionists to the level of celebrity of chefs to counteract the free pass for woo chefs get.

Humans are so successful, in part, because they can thrive on a huge variety of diets. Which is why fad diets irritate the hell out of me, because it's not like it's NECESSARILY bad to eat a lot of meat (or no meat) or to eat a lot of grain (or no grain). And if these paleo guys actually studied prehistoric human cultures, they would know that. But of course, that doesn't sell.

Because there simply not enough tools for doing that already.

It's a clever slippery slope though. "How dare you judge me! I just want to eat healthy and natural! Say by the way, it's also healthy and natural for you to be barefoot and pregnant in the kitchen."

I mean, it's shitlording on an epic scale, don't get me wrong. Clever, though.
