Scientists: Today's pop music making us stupid

"Unsurprisingly, they found that modern pop is a watered-down version of what John, Paul, George and Ringo used to rock the charts with. Since the 1950s, vocal timbre — the character of the voice — has become less diverse and pitch content has become totally monochromatic (fewer chord and melodic variations), while everything has gotten much louder overall. Our popular music is literally being dumbed down." previously (lyrics)

I am searching desperately for the the quote from some Greek elder BC saying the exact same thing. Who cares who's on your f'n lawn, grandpaw? God. Must every generation venerate itself in this bullshitty fashion? And I was born in the 50'S and am tired of hearing this shit. Art changes; you don't appreciate the changes; your art sucks. Old people. Jeez.

Did they do a comparison to the stuff that the Beatles were such a big deal compared to, as well? It is almost impossible to exaggerate how bad '50s White People Music was.

Maybe THIS time when people write shitty articles about how awful pop music is and how people are dying in the streets because Nicki Minaj is popular it's both true and worth paying even slight attention to
