If you love grit in your R&B and funk in your guitar, you might love the deep, deep soul of singer/guitarist Lee Moses. (Wikipedia) Born in Atlanta, Moses worked with producer Johnny Brantley, recording only a handful of singles in the late 60s and one album, Time and Place, in 1971. A remastered anthology of his work was released in 2007 under the same title.

Some highlights include:
Bad Girl (Part 1) 10:08
Time And Place (Single Version) 25:42
Got That Will 34:34
The Dark End Of The Street 1:04:50

Lee Moses also played guitar on the Mighty Hannibal's (a.k.a. King Hannibal) 1973 album, Truth. Truth included a long version of one of Hannibal's best-known singles, the Vietnam commentary Hymn No. 5. While no more recordings were made, Moses continued to perform in Atlanta, where he died in 1997.
