10 Scary-Good Cocktails (AKA Halloween Candy for Adults)

No tricks, just treats. [SLMarieClaire]...with handy edited cocktail recipes if you don't want to look at the article and/or be marketed to too much and/or hate inconsistent style within an article/listicle.
1. BLOOD ORANGE BLOSSOM
Ingredients:
1 oz gin
.75 oz fresh lemon juice
.5 oz simple syrup
.5 oz Aperol
1 blood orange wedge
Directions:
Muddle blood orange wedge with syrup in a mixing glass. Add ice and remaining ingredients. Shake and strain into a coupe glass.
Garnish with an orange peel.
2. DOCTOR'S NOTE
Ingredients:
1.5 oz Irish whiskey
.5 oz demerara or turbinado syrup
1/2 egg white
.75 oz maple syrup
Muddled clove and sage
Directions:
Shake and strain over cold draft ice in a Collins glass.
3. CORPSE REVIVER
Ingredients:
1 oz gin
1 oz Lillet
1 oz triple sec
1 oz lemon
Splash of absinthe
Directions:
Shake all ingredients together over ice. Serve in a coupe with 2 cherries.
4. BLACK BARREL CIDER
Ingredients:
1 ½ parts tequila
¾ part apple cider
¾ part cinnamon syrup [Mix together 1 part sugar, 1 part water and 4 crushed cinnamon sticks. Bring to a boil (1-2 minutes). Once cool, strain into a glass.]
1 part lemon juice
2 dashes Angostura bitters
2 parts water
Directions:
Combine all ingredients and serve. Garnish with a cinnamon stick and an apple wedge. Can be served hot or cold.
5. SPOOKY SLIME
Shooters version -
Ingredients:
3 oz lemon-lime soda
Splash of orange juice
1 package of JELL-O Lime Flavor Gelatin [Eerily (ha!) similar recipe on the JELL-O website...]
2 cups boiling water
4 cups cold water
Directions:
Follow the JELL-O package instructions using the boiling water. Stir in the cold water and allow to chill for 3-4 hours. Use a utensil to break up the jello into small pieces. After that, shake together soda and orange juice and pour into a chilled glass rimmed with salt. Add 1/2 cup of JELL-O and stir slowly. Let JELL-O set in fridge before serving.
Cocktail version -
Ingredients:
3 oz lemon-lime soda
Splash of orange juice
1 package of JELL-O Lime Flavor Gelatin
2 cups boiling water
4 cups cold water
1 1/2 oz tequila
Directions (maybe; it is unclear if you let this set or just drink liquid gelatin mixed with other stuff):
Follow the JELL-O package instructions using the boiling water. Stir in the cold water and allow to chill for 3-4 hours. Use a utensil to break up the jello into small pieces. After that, shake together soda, tequila, and orange juice and pour into a chilled glass rimmed with salt. Add 1/2 cup of JELL-O and stir slowly. Let JELL-O set in fridge before serving (I think?).
6. BOBBING FOR APPLES
Ingredients:
1.25 oz dry gin
1 oz apple juice
.5 oz fresh lime juice
.5 oz honey
Directions:
Shake all ingredients in a mixing glass with ice. Fine-strain into a coupe glass. Garnish with an apple slice.
7. PUMPKIN SPIKE
Ingredients:
1.25 oz dry gin
1 oz pumpkin puree
1 whole egg
.5 oz maple syrup
1 bar spoon (or 1 teaspoon) sugar
Directions:
Combine all ingredients in a mixing glass. Dry shake until emulsified (about one minute). Add ice and shake again, vigorously. Double strain into a martini glass. Dust the top with nutmeg to garnish.
8. GHOST MARTINI
Ingredients:
3 parts elit by Stolichnaya [MUST BE OVER LEGAL DRINKING AGE in your country to enter site and see the fancy vodka] (or your favorite vodka)
Cocktail onion
Directions:
Pour vodka into a mixing glass with ice and stir until ice cold. Strain and serve up. Garnish with a cocktail onion.
9. BLOOD PUNCH
Ingredients:
1 parts Malibu Black rum ["MALIBU BLACK combines the smooth coconut flavor that you love with higher proof and less sweetness for a bolder taste of the Caribbean." MUST BE OF LEGAL DRINKING AGE to view the special rum.] (or your favorite rum)
½ part orange juice
½ part cranberry juice
½ part pineapple juice
Directions:
Build in a pint glass filled with ice. Garnish with black licorice.
10. SLEEPY HOLLOW
Ingredients:
1 1/2 oz Scotch whisky
3/4 oz coffee liqueur
1/2 oz chili liqueur
2 1/2 oz almond milk (or other milk alternative if allergic to tree nuts, or maybe even milk - do what you want! It's your drink!)
Directions:
Build into a Tiki mug (or a mason jar, or whatever you want). Add 1 pellet dry ice. Garnish with grated chocolate.
