Joining in on the frenzy of Star Wars Week, the folks at Bad Lip Reading have teamed up with Jack Black, Bill Hader, and Maya Rudolph to punch up the dry, boring dialogue of the original trilogy: Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi.

Kind of weak, compared to their previous ones. Full face helmets (plus puppets) doesn't work that well with this.

Hilarious with moments of brilliance. "Bushes of Love" was an unexpected delight.

"Stranger danger! Stranger danger!"

(I guess we need trigger warnings on accents? FWIW, the ones used here are about a millionth as offensive as the pseudo-Jamaica and Asain accents in the prequels.)

I must agree the results are less satisfying when there's no actual fake lip reading involved because masks etc, and I'm not sure the Indian accent is something I can get behind, and having famous actors doing bits is not something I'm keen to see, but the BLR always makes me actually laugh literally out loud, something I very rarely do at Things On The Internet, so hooray for that, at least.

I don't know if they were going for a BMO thing with that voice, but they kind of achieved it.
