Terrapattern, currently in alpha, is a visual search tool for satellite imagery.
The alpha version only covers Pittsburgh, San Francisco, NYC, and Detroit.
See the about page for interesting collections: Detroit scrap yards, Pittsburgh football stadiums & fracking stations, SF purple tennis courts, NYC solar panels…

Relying on tiles is not the best choice, especially if you're interested in linear features. And from what I saw playing with the NYC tileset, the similarities right now are such that if you click on a tile with trees un the upper left corner, you're going to find all the tiles with trees in the upper left corner.
OK, it's an alpha, so hopefully a bounding box feature will be in the works at some point.

I think this service is phenomenal and I'm surprised not to see more discussion here! It's a beautiful application of image recognition and to tagged satellite images. Lots of fun and genuinely useful for a variety of reasons.
