The pale blue dot speech is one of my 'Ten Fragments You Have to Shore against Your Ruin' style joys, but that speech with the GTA visual overlay? Guess one of the memory slots on the Voyager Golden Record 2.0 is now taken.

The juxtaposition was way less ironic and a lot more beautiful than I was expecting. Sagan was a kind of poet, as well as a scientist.

wow these are really effective. puts the Sagan words into a certain kind of perspective in terms of how far we've come as a specie that these are done inside what is arguably one of the most human of endeavors; an invention for the expressed purpose of entertainment.
