a tiny forest on your ring finger

Secret Wood, a Vancouver-based design studio, makes wood and resin rings that look like tiny forests and landscapes: snowy woods; misty woods; trees under a midnight sky; an underwater plantscape.
Do you remember those crystal garden things in the 90s? It would be a little tank, and you'd add water and grow these crystal structures. I don't remember much else (aside from the little plastic submarine in mine), but they're all I can think of when I look at these.

(Going to Maine: Apparently, according to the FAQ, they are working on making pendants next, which I'd prefer for myself too.)

(They're called magic rocks and they've been around since the 1940's)

Those are gorgeous but seem kind of huge
Yeah, three of them would make the most stylish knuckleduster ever.

Those are absolutely gorgeous and amazing, but "Secret Wood" sounds like my entire puberty.

I can't see these because Instagram wants me to follow someone. It's all shit since gopher.

Those are gorgeous but seem kind of huge. Like, better framed on the wall (or necklace?) than on a finger.
Or even something for desks, like a paper weight.

Oh no, I'm sorry cromagnon--I used them because they're permanently saved on Instagram, while the images disappear off the Secret Wood gallery once that particular ring is sold (each is unique). FWIW, I am able to see the IG links without being logged in to Instagram, or having to follow the account, in both Safari and Firefox.
You can still see the "misty forest" one on the main site gallery for now.

dear ringmakers of the world - the first or second picture of your product should be a picture of the damn ring on a finger. I should not have to scroll through your instagram feed or multiple pages of your website to find a picture of the thing you are trying to sell in use.

There's some on-hand pictures on the reviews page. They are pretty big, but there are some people who like dramatic rings.

Yeah, I found the pictures of the rings on hands. (Spoiler: these rings actually aren't as big as I thought they'd be.)
The problem is that if I'm looking right at a page that is selling me a ring then there should be pictures of the ring in use on THAT page...not on a page that's two or three clicks away. (This critique sadly extends to a lot of product pages on the web. )
These rings are lovely - I just wish they'd make it easier for me to see the product in use on the page trying to sell me the thing.

This is like wearing one of those "magical unicorn tossing its luxurious mane next to a waterfall" posters I used to beg my mom to get me from Kmart as a tween.

I fail to see the problem here.
