Effectively infinite, anyway. Researchers at UC Irvine have invented a (practically) infinite battery.

So many questions! Is it scalable? Does it produce a lot of heat? How durable/delicate is it in terms of being dropped/heated/frozen/wet? How can they be recycled or disposed of, in the event of the battery being placed into a device that will become obsolete quickly like a smartphone or computer?

This all assumes that laptop manufacturers and other makers of battery-using devices won't ignore or dilute somehow the technology in the name of selling more expensive, proprietary battery replacements.

this is a slim article with little to no info, which is a recycled press release. flagged.

That's a weird conspiracy theory you have there, JHarris.
