An invasive slug is helping to spread a nasty parasite in Hawaii. There are things you can do to avoid it though.

What a terrifying thing to read first thing upon waking up! At least my lifestyle of not eating vegetables and being too broke to visit Hawaii has been vindicated.

That's horrifying I wish I hadn't read but I did and I don't know why.

Rat Lungworm sounds like he'd be right at home among Blast Hardcheese, Punt SpeedChunk, Big McLargeHuge, etc.

I love salad, but this gives me pause. Good thing I like steamed greens too.

Now I have a weird variant of "Cheeseburger in Paradise" stuck in my head.

Good gravy. If that ever makes it to the continent, I'm only eating veggies that are boiled to mush.

This is horrifying. We will all have to eat like the British. Boil everything! What IS that? It is bread, we like it soft.

Sounds like something a semi-slug would say. . .

For me its "Two Tickets to Paradise."

I saw a HGTV-type show about living in Hawaii a few years ago. They showed giant poisonous centipedes that don't die if you cut them in half and love to snuggle between your sheets for a nighttime surprise. Who knows what other horrors lurk in the tropical "paradise" of Hawaii. (Well, maybe The Shadow knows.)
