Only one of Daguerre’s dioramas remains today, but their influence was lasting, as a new exhibit at the Palais de Tokyo in Paris shows.

"Ah, Diorama-rama!" (I can't believe I got to be first out of the gate with that.)

I love dioramas. I got an A+ in 7th grade for my diorama of Pickett's Charge. The little peepholes put you Right There. I used lots of red model paint.

And Disney Imagineers were using the same techniques as Daguerre almost a century and a half later.
