I wasn't going to watch this but then I did and I'd known about the Leidenfrost effect for a while, but hadn't seen the uphill thing before and that maze is just ridiculous. So much fun! Thanks for posting!

For your weekly dose of pedantry, I'll point out that those are labyrinths not mazes. But yeah, really cool stuff.

Loved the dramatic Hall of the Mountain King soundtrack! It really made the maze labyrinth traveling seem much more dire, like they were fleeing a dread Steam Beast or something.

I've always encouraged people to call it the Floatensteam effect, but nobody seems interested in listening to me.
