If Pearl Forrester isn't my absolute favorite TV villain of all time, she's definitely in the top small, single-digit number.
Whenever my sister or I is dealing with nausea, we'll quote Pearl from The Incredibly Strange Creatures Who Stopped Living and Became Mixed-Up Zombies: "Scooter, be a man. There will be nooo hefting as long as I am in command of this vessel."

I take my orders (t-shirt and bumper sticker orders, that is) from the original info club poobah, Julie Walker, Texas Ranger. ;)
One of the best changes in the new MST3k was bringing on Rebecca Hanson as Gypsy, and giving Gypsy a bigger role in the show.
Here here! Hanson also filled in quite capably as the chief Mad during last year's MST3K live tour, playing a smarter/nastier version of her character Synthia, the imperfect clone of Pearl Forrester.

Also, I recognize Bridget T. (the woman wearing the cool MST3K sweaters that she knitted) from the unofficial MST3K Revival League Facebook group, and watching her rise to the status of MSTie royalty over the last year has been amazing. She gave Chris Hardwick one of her sweaters and he's been photographed wearing it on TV and elsewhere a bunch of times since.

Let's not forget Kinga, who's brought a wonderful incompetent evil* vibe to the madding in Season 11 very much in line with the classic Forrester tradition while breaking new ground with her self-created (yet still not very good) minions, the Boneheads.
* What is it about incompetent evil that's so entertaining? It's difficult to hate someone who's evil but will never be good at it and will never cause any real damage. (As opposed to Trump, who's evil and incompetent, and so wrecks everything he stands within 60 feet of.)

Just reminding everyone ('cause if I don't do it valkane or foop probably will) that we watch this show together every week in MST Club, and tomorrow's episode is 1003, Merlin's Shop of Mystical Wonders, AND there's only ten episodes left in our tour of the show.

I had no idea about Bridget being Joel's first choice. Like, I'm not saying I'd change anything about the show, or anything, and I like Mike a-OK. I just have to say, the parallel universe in which that happened would still be pretty dang rad.

Good writing and performing are essential to riffing, obviously, but you really get some extra magic when the riffers are friends and their camaraderie shines through. That's pretty clear in all the riffs I've heard Bridget and Mary Jo do together.
