Tricks are for kidds...

...so now that we've seen a mongoose 'playing possum', will we next be seeing an opossum fighting snakes?

Zazu didn't seem too amused by the mongeese.

Not only are they adorable AF, mongooses also can make some pretty sweet jumps.

I had no idea mongoose pups were so adorable!

I'm not sure anything makes me happier than hearing scientists giggle.

That bird is a little like Emily Gilmore: "Was that supposed to be a joke?" -- "Well, it's not funny."

While the mongoose playing dead is hilarious, the side story here is the first ever captured footage of a hornbill slowly losing its mind.

I spent part of my childhood in the Serengeti National Park, as my dad was a field biologist at the time. We'd leave food out on the veranda of our house at night to feed the various foragers--I remember porcupines and mongoose mostly. The mongoose were the best ones to watch--we'd leave eggs out for them and they'd crack them by facing away from the wall or one of the columns holding up the veranda roof and slinging the egg between their hind legs against the wall/column, much like these guys.

(Then there was the evening a pride of lions camped out on our porch instead...)
