Stayin' Alive !!! While helping others...

He remembered how to CPR, because of an old The Office episode... A guy finds a woman unresponsive behind the wheel of a car. He knows he must save her, but doesn't know how, then he remembers seeing a CPR class played out on a TV show, then The Bee Gees also help out. This is not a daydream, but seems like a Walter Mitty fantasy.
That lady is lucky she still has a face.

So, I was a gore obsessed kid. I really loved reading first aid manuals because they always had cool pictures of bad things happening to bland looking adults, which was totally my bread and butter as a Weird Little Girl. My dad's been in emergency services for decades, so we had like, the good stuff, and I would get out the tracing paper and trace the best ones in secret for later review. I was particularly fond of the one on how to treat an eye that had a foreign object.
The takeway is that I voluntarily trained first aide like an hour a week for literally years.
Pretty good at it now.
This sort of thing really helps. It's also why women's heart attacks are often not recognised as such by the general public - they don't look like TV heart attacks, because you have to bust open a woman's shirt to do CPR or code her and you can't show titties on the telly.

I just recertified and the instructor gave us another helpful beat (in case Stayin' Alive and Another One Bites the Dust aren't memorable enough for you): Baby Shark. Doo doo doo doo doo.

How many people has Bono killed?
Oh, it's worse than that! Way worse. I hear every time he claps his hands a child starves to death.

This is baby shark (doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo). I'm not exactly sure where it came from or why it's so huge right now but it sure is.

And! If you really want to psych yourself up in the event that you too may someday need to do CPR, you can listen to New York Presbyterian's CPR playlist on Spotify, featuring the aforementioned songs (minus Baby Shark, fortunately/unfortunately)!

Reminds me of those kids who learned to perform the Heimlich maneuver from a briefly-visible still image in the background of a Simpsons episdoe.
