Kill all the wolves, kill the cat, kill the pretty horse, kill that dragon too. Raven, you're next.

Sorry, I just read The Hod King Josiah Bancroft and there is a death there that makes me want to scream. And by scream I mean...ugh.

Same with One of Us by Craig DeLouie. Two books where I read the scene and thought "civilization is what happens when what I want to happen only happens in my head."

Sure, blame Cersei.

Pay attention to the fur cloaks this upcoming season, contrary to what the ad-bait article claims, we will definitely be seeing Ser Pounce again in some form...

George R. R. Martin is not your bitch, and I'm on team "Rocks Fall. Everyone Dies."

Disappoint the entitled mother-fuckers who demand closure. I'm not saying Battlestar Galactica, but definitely Sopranos level ambiguity.

I always did catch a Cruella de Vil vibe from Cersei.

I'm not saying Battlestar Galactica

Ron Moore has said in interviews something along the lines of "Yeah so we did this rando thing for no reason because I thought it sounded/looked cool, then later we said 'fuck it' and made the thing we did for no reason a series long pivotal plot point.

The ending of The Sopranos was ambiguous for actual story reasons, BG was a bunch of horseshit thrown together and by the end everyone involved hoped the fanbase had just forgot certain things.

The main BG example I'm thinking of up above is the dove flying around (I think it was a dove, it has been a while) in Apollo's dreams or whatever. However, I've read interviews with Moore where other random stuff was just thrown in and then called back to for no reason.

Reminds me of Ser Pounce in Narbonic, who met a similar fate.

I don't wanna change the subject, but the ending of BSG was so fucking bad that a show people would otherwise almost certainly still binge on has been totally forgotten. Game of Thrones has fumbled a few times, but I don't anticipate anything like that.

Battlestar Galactica had a FANTASTIC ending. The problem was that they continued making episodes after that.

George R. R. Martin is not your bitch

On a related note, he is also not going to fulfill his obligation.

Obligation? Like paying his taxes, feeding his pets, and recycling his bottles?

There needs to be some article or at least list of worst to best serious TV drama endings from Lost and BSG to The Shield and Mad Men on the other. Sopranos could be dead center, perhaps.

“If you buy the super-extended, super-charged Game of Thrones box set that comes out, the death of Ser Pounce will be in there,” showrunner Dan Weiss adds. “Just one whole episode devoted to the death of Ser Pounce.”

The best possible scenario is that this actually happens and the episode is titled Did You Think We Were @#$%ing Kidding.

Ideally it would be like the Monty Python "Death of Mary, Queen of Scots" bit.
