Celebrity Endorsement Primary

538's Endorsement Primary tool is great, but it doesn't have a category for Megan Rapinoe, Ariana Grande, and Michael Chiklis. Luckily, the LA Times and Elle magazine have this beat covered.

Here's a fun game--match the celebrity to their preferred candidate (mouseover for answers):

a. Joe Biden b. Cory Booker c. Pete Buttigieg d. Kamala Harris e. Bernie Sanders f. Elizabeth Warren g. Andrew Yang

1. Seth MacFarlane 2. George R.R. Martin 3. Ariana Grande 4. Roxane Gay 5. Nicolas Cage 6. Jon Bon Jovi 7. Lance Bass

I would think an endorsement from George R.R. Martin just suggests that he expects you to suffer (or commit) an atrocity in the next few chapters.

Wikipedia is also a good source for endorsement lists and includes all categories.

Ooh, I didn't know Marianne Williamson locked down the Dave Navarro endorsement, or that, before dropping out, Tim Ryan was endorsed by the mayor of Akron. Or that, after dropping out, John Hickenlooper endorsed Michael Bennet.

I could've done a much more amusing quiz had I known about Michael Avenatti and Alan Dershowitz (both Biden), Michael Dukakis (Warren), Walter Mondale (Klobuchar), and Tony! Toni! Toné! (Sanders)

(And, for whatever it's worth, on Wikipedia, Biden, Buttigieg, Harris, Sanders, and Warren are the only candidates deemed worthy of a dedicated endorsement page. Of these, Harris is the only one who is not still in the race.)
