Despite a raft of shitty news today, listening to Carol Off interview John Waters about this was a total joy.

John Waters is a true national treasure.

He is such a wonderful combination of classy and sleazy. That face. That mustache.

::sigh::

They're just going to leave the opportunity of naming it the John Waters' Closet laying there?

I like John Waters more than I like John Waters' movies. I'm glad he exists.

I presume he's prepared for them to be called 'Water's closets'.

Oops! missed your comment, Kid Charlemagne.

One of our local celebrities “endowed” a urinal at the local art cinema. I’ve never seen it because it’s in the men’s room, but I’m told it has a nice brass plaque.

This post title comes from this Baltimore Sun link in the post:

No matter how formal the museum will be with the official signage outside those rooms, in my mind they’ll be the “Waters' Closets.”

I have a friend that donated a decent chunk of change to his alma mater to get a urinal dedicated to him in the building where he spent most of his time.

John Waters is the best. I'm in awe of the love he has for his home town. I wish I knew where home was like he does.

Fine, I'll pee in your mouth of a urinal named in your honor if it supports the arts.

He wants too restrooms named after him, so John's Waters and Water's John?

Watersloo.

I think we can all agree that the John Waters washrooms are much better places for turds than in the mail.

I feel like we do not need the cute "Waters" wordplay, the more blatant and banal "John Waters Memorial Toilets" would more fit within his style.

So I just discovered I had John Waters and John Hughes mixed up in my head.
