Glen Reynolds' Instapundit links to a Meryl Yourish post countering a comment by our own mediareport. I tend to disagree with MR on the Middle East, but seeing as how MeFi is where he expresses himself, it seems appropriate he should have the opportunity to defend himself here. (This is not an I/P thread, this is a meta-I/P thread. Be nice.)

Good move joemaller. Mediareport should have the opportunity to respond. I tend to disagree with Glenn Reynolds on most everything he says about the ME myself.
Atrios and Hesiod usually do a great job of refuting Glenn's tripe rantings and if not them there's an instapunditwatch weblog devoted entirely to fact checking his ass because he won't do it himself.

When does Reynolds "rant"? He usually just quotes someone else at length, then follows up with a comment along the lines of "indeed."

I mentioned Instapundit because his readership is huge. Anyone he links to gets an enormous boost in traffic so this was definitely not going to go unseen.

Personally, I've received thank you email and (anonymous) hate-you email regarding my opinions in I/P threads, but I'm not used to seeing our discussions taken off-site like this.
